About Me

Kazhal Fakhri

(b. 1989, Kermanshah, Iran) is a Tehran-based visual artist working across drawing, printmaking, painting, and installation. Her works explore the fragility and delicacy of natural phenomena and their analogies with human experience. As so, her practice becomes a study of integrity in the bodies of things, and how an object’s totality is defined and perceived within its structure. Often inspired by altered photographs, her pieces employ meticulous techniques that reference the realistic qualities of photography. She also engages with ecological and social themes, particularly in her collaborative installations.
